After the World Number 78, Grigor Dimitrov handed a surprise defeat to the third seed, Roger Federer in the quarterfinals of US Open 2019, the Swiss disclosed about his further participation on the ATP Tour.

“I guess Laver Cup, Shanghai, Basel, maybe Paris, London. That’s the schedule for now. I don’t know if the team have other ideas or not. I’m happy to get a bit of a break now, go back to practice, reassess and attack from there,” Roger Federer said.

Roger Federer will show up for Laver Cup 2019, which is scheduled to take place in Geneva, Switzerland. The three-day event will get underway on September 20, 2019. The Swiss veteran will team up with Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Fabio Fognini for the Laver Cup 2019. Bjorn Borg will be leading Team Europe.

World Number three, Federer won’t be present for the ATP 500 events in Asia. He is likely to be present at Rolex Shanghai Masters 2019, which will take place in the first week of October.

Then, he will show up for his hometown tournament in Switzerland, which is Swiss Indoors Basel during the last week of October. However, Federer’s appearance for the last ATP Masters 1000 event in Paris is put on hold, and he is yet to decide his participation over there. Roger Federer won the Paris Masters title in 2011, where he defeated the home favorite, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the finals.

The 6-time ATP Finals champion, Roger Federer has qualified for this year’s edition. He will be swinging his racquets in the O2 Arena, London for his seventh title.

Since the time he pulled off his first major in 2003, this is the sixth season in Federer’s career which will be concluded without a Slam title. The tennis seasons 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019, were ended without winning a Grand Slam title.
