Both India and West Indies begin their ICC World Test Championship campaign in Antigua. Here are the team news, fantasy tips and Dream 11 prediction team.

Match Details:

The first test match of the India tour of West Indies 2019 will be played from Thursday August 22 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua at 1:30 pm GMT.

Team News:

West Indies

West Indies will be relying on Kemar Roach to lead their bowling attack, while captain Jason Holder might come good with both bat and ball. Shai Hope and Kraigg Brathwaite are two more players to watch out for.

India

The Indian team looks strong as ever. Virat Kohli is once again expected to be amongst the runs. But it will be more interesting to see the other batsmen perform around him. It is time fpr people like KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane to prove their worth in the team. The pace bowling, as it has been in recent years looks very good with Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohamed Shami.

Predicted Playing XI

West Indies

Jason Holder (c), Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Shai Hope, Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmeyer, Roston Chase, Shane Dowrich (wk), Rahkeem Cornwall, Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel.

Virat Kohli (c), Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah.

Injury and Availability News:

West Indies announced that all-rounder Keemo Paul will not be traveling due to injury and Miguel Cummins has come into the squad as a replacement though he is not expected to make it to the playing XI.

As for India, all players seem fit, and a few good selection issues seems to surround them. Most interesting would be to see whether it will be Rohit Sharma or Hanuma Vihari in the XI.

Weather and pitch report

Occasional shower is expected for the first three days, but not so much to not expect a result.

The pitch in Antigua is looking dry with very little green patches. As the game progresses, spinners might come into play more and more with the pitch deteriorating.
