

UFC superstar Dustin Poirier has set an example yet again by taking care of front line medical workers as the fight continuous with the coronavirus pandemic. Poirier along with his charity The Good Fight Foundation pledged to donate 1000 meals to the medical workers this easter.
Poirier’s charitable actions are nothing new. He’s been an active member of the community regularly raising money through his foundation. The fighter has helped raise funds to build water walls in Uganda., playgrounds for special needs children and has contributed to several hospitals in his hometown.

Dustin Poirier promises ‘The Good Fight’ amidst the pandemic
The pandemic has ravaged America like a storm, with the country having recorded the most patients to date. Moreover, healthcare facilities across the country are not able to deal with the influx of patients coming in. Health care workers must be applauded for their service and it’s actions like these that make the difference.
“There are three major hospitals here in Lafayette. We want to feed every employee – doctors, nurses – at every hospital.” Said Poirier
Dustin Poirier’s goal is certainly commendable. Moreover ,By helping his community out and through various donations, he has proved time and again he’s ready to help in the fight against the pandemic. Several other fighters have endorsed ‘The Good Fight Foundation’ in the past. Khabib Nurmagomedov raised over 100 thousand dollars donning the foundation’s shirt after his fight against Poirier.

Dustin Poirier was set to face Dan Hooker on May 16th. However, with all sporting events canceled it’s hard to predict when ‘The Diamond’ will return to action.
