In the coming weekend, the NASCAR paddock heads to the Talladega Super Speedway. Last week, Denny Hamlin won at Las Vegas and secured his berth for the next round, so he will compete in this race with no pressure on his shoulders. However, for the likes of Joey Logano and company, the pressure will continue to mount.

Speaking at Vegas, Logano said, “I don’t know if you’ve watch these Talladega and Daytona race lately. We crash all the time, so I’m hoping I survive that one. That would probably be a good day, if we can survive that and finish. It would probably be in a good spot for the Roval.”

Fortunately, he has registered three wins at the superspeedway, so he should be in with a shout of a win. However, the #22 driver will be wary of all his rivals stealing the win from under his nose.

Where did Joey Logano finish at Las Vegas and what to expect from him?

At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the #22 Team Penske driver finished in 11th place. At the moment, he sits in seventh place in the championship, just ahead of teammate Brad Keselowski. With two races left until the Round of 12 concludes, the two of them are on the bubble and need to buck up.

In other words, the Penske duo need to record a good result, a win in the best-case scenario. At the same time, they will be hoping to outscore Kevin Harvick, Alex Bowman, William Byron, and Christopher Bell.

Logano’s comments come on the back of knowledge that the Talladega Superspeedway is notorious for multi-car crashes. This lends to its unpredictability, and the remaining 11 drivers will be desperate. They all know that a win will definitely see them join Denny Hamlin so that they can watch the drama unfold at Charlotte later on.
