Recently, American tennis player Tennys Sandgren lost his cool and blasted at officials. He stated, “I just found out that we aren’t going to be able to leave the room till about midnight tomorrow, which will put us at close to 15 days in this room and it’s also another day where we can’t practice… That’s play Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and play a match on Tuesday, a competitive tennis match.”
It’s a challenging situation these players are facing. To be able to practice only for a limited amount of time prior to a Grand Slam can be difficult.
At the moment, a set of tennis players are in Adelaide in Australia. They are part of the one-day exhibition event ‘A Day at the Drive’. After that, they will travel to Melbourne and join the rest of the players for the first Major at the Australian Open 2021.
