

This week was extremely eventful for Xbox fans all over the world. First, the Xbox Series S was officially announced, following a major leak. Within 48 hours of that, the price and the launch date for the Xbox Series X were also announced.
Fans all over the world rejoiced at the prospect of the same. And what’s more, Microsoft has already shipped its consoles to major influencers/YouTubers.
Unfortunately, these influencers did not get a functioning version of the next-gen consoles. But they did get to have a good look at them before they hit the market.

Popular YouTuber Lewis George, famed for his channel ‘Unbox Therapy’ was one of the recipients of the same. He uploaded his staple unboxing video for both the consoles and gave the viewers a closer view. Take a look at it below.

Xbox Series X and S unboxing by Unbox Therapy
There wasn’t much to explore considering the consoles were non-functional and hence, were extremely light weighted. Lewis unboxed the Series X first and was visibly surprised by how compact it really was.
The IO at the back of the console also included a storage expansion slot and had other usual elements.
Then, he moved on to the Series S. Microsoft claimed that it was 60% smaller than the Series X and that was evident when it was unboxed. “It is tiny” were the words used by Lewis to describe the console.
He also compared both the consoles to the PS4 and was impressed by how Microsoft was able to cram everything in such a compact design of the Series S.

This definitely put things into perspective for potential customers still making a decision about Xbox or PlayStation. A compact powerhouse with next-gen capabilities was everything fans needed, and Microsoft was happy to oblige.
Xbox also announced the arrival of EA Play to Xbox Game Pass, which further strengthened their position against PlayStation.
On the other hand, Sony still hasn’t made their move. Considering how Xbox announced every single detail about their consoles, a PlayStation announcement won’t be too far away.

Sony will definitely try to avoid fiascos like the Xbox Series S announcement, and fans can definitely expect some big news in the coming weeks.
