Alistair Overeem is a huge man, and the main component of this is the food he eats daily. Overeem recently sat down with K1 and discussed his diet.

Alistair Cees Overeem is a Dutch mixed martial artist and a former kickboxer. He’s the former Strikeforce heavyweight champion DREAM Heavyweight Champion, K-1 World Grand Prix Champion. He’s one of the only two fighters to hold titles in both MMA and k1 kickboxing at the same time.

Alistair Overeem, in the interview with K1, welcomed them into his home and gave them a peek into his daily life. We get to see a glimpse of his meals while he explains the importance of a good diet in staying fit. He discusses this while snacking on a delicious-looking steak with mashed potatoes that he whipped up himself.

Speaking with the interviewer, he said, “I like beef. Beef makes you strong. Cow beef, horse beef, and I also eat a lot of fish. A horse is a very good protein, better than cow beef. I eat yogurt, Greek yogurt, trail mix, and a lot of nuts. I eat around 6, 7 or sometimes 8 times a day.”

Overeem sits down and discusses his diet while eating his freshly cooked steak. He dives deeper into his intake and says, “There’s a lot of eating, sleeping, and training. Not much else. I maybe eat 4 times this amount. You’ll get big. But I also think it’s a little bit genetic. My mother is a strong woman. My grandpa and his family are very big.”

Alistair Overeem says he knows how to cook his steak to perfection. He’s been at it for years now, and he can make it just the way he likes it.

He ends this interview by running us through his entire day and says, “I eat at 9 in the morning. 10 o’clock in the morning and then training. Then after training, I eat immediately. Then I go home and sleep, but before I sleep I eat. That’s number 4. Then when I wake up I eat number 5 and train again. Then I eat again after training, number 6. I go home and eat big, number 7. Then I eat again before I go to bed. That’s number 8.”

He emphasized that a great diet plan is crucial to his success in the sporting world. He eats big to get big!
