In tennis, the ending of December is the grinding period for preparations for the next season. While most players conduct their pre-season on a tennis court, America’s Serena Williams is known for her unconventional methods. At the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in 2019, World No. 11 had sprinted on a racetrack to train during her pre-season.
Only recently, the 23-time Grand Slam winner admitted that she is aiming to equal Margaret Court’s long withstanding record. The Australian legend won her 24th major title 47 years ago; she leads the all-time most Grand Slam titles in singles’ history.
Serena leads in the tally of most singles’ Grand Slam titles in the Open Era. However, the 39-year-old is optimistic about adding more glory to her decorated career. As far as training goes, the 7-time Wimbledon champion has also punched bags with American boxing legend Mike Tyson.

More than any active player, the American has played in 33 Majors titles. Her last title came at the 2017 Australian Open, after which she took a break due to pregnancy. Surprisingly, denying the impossible, Serena returned to tennis the very next season.
Since her comeback, the 4-time Olympic Gold medalist has played in four Grand Slam finals. Coming so close to her goal, Williams is not among the ones who’ll go down without a fight. The training video shows how determined she is, even in pre-season training sessions.
Alongside 2019’s video, the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy captioned, “Serena Williams can run.” Her passion and energy have stayed consistent throughout her career.

Williams has claimed the Australian Open for a record seven times. Additionally, in doubles and mixed doubles, she has won five Major titles in Melbourne Park (4-1). All tennis fans are equally rooting for her to cross the final line.
In terms of her training, there is no doubt that the 73 career titles winner will rise to the competition in Australia. However, Serena’s challengers have grown up equally dangerous over time. World No. 1 Australia’s Ashleigh Barty will be one of the major hurdles, especially with the entire home crowd on her side.
