What Did Roger Federer Recieve?

After his victory at the 2003 Wimbledon, Roger went to Gstaad, Switzerland. He was there to play the Swiss Open. When he arrived, he was congratulated on his victory through a very unconventional gift. He was given a cow.

In the video, we see young Roger Federer in Gstaad. He was given the cow along with a plate that read, “Welcome to Gstaad, Roger Federer Wimbledon Champion 2003.” Roger was clearly enjoying himself there.

After reading about what happened in 2003, all of us cannot help but wonder – what if Roger Federer was given a cow after every grand slam victory? If that were to happen, we will have to hope that Roger has space for 20 large cows.

Federer will definitely have a smile when he remembers 2003. Not just because of this gift but because 2003 signifies the start of a period of dominance. From 2004 to 2007 there was no one who could match his skill. He won 11 grand slams during that time and never lost his world no. 1 ranking.

This period of dominance will motivate Federer to become the player he was then. He will be looking to win some more grand slam titles before he hangs up his racquet. Unfortunately, he will have to wait.
