Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have faced each other under some interesting circumstances over the years. However, they found themselves in one of the most unique settings imaginable when they represented countries that they didn’t belong to.

This was when the two stars featured in the International Premier Tennis League. The league was an interesting design that sought to popularize tennis in Asia. It was based upon a franchise setup with Roger representing the Indian Aces while Novak Djokovic was a part of the UAE Royals.

Not surprisingly, the fans graced the event with much fanfare in India. It’s not every day that the biggest tennis star of all time represents your team. This fact was not lost on the fans who were absolutely enthused about it. However, even Novak received a pretty hearty response despite being a part of the UAE Royals. The funniest moment of the day came when a question confused the two stars because of a very loud and bustling crowd.

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic got a taste of that amazing experience.

The interviewer then asked Novak Djokovic about his plans for Dubai. Novak said that it was actually Doha. Roger Federer had to remind him that the interviewer was actually talking about next week. An embarrassed Novak could only agree. All this confused the interviewer so much that he referred to New Delhi, where the match had taken place, as Dubai. That’s certainly not a crime you commit when in India.
