The lives of players from different sports intertwine commonly through brand ambassadorship. Recently, Porsche Tennis shared a throwback picture of the German automobile’s brand ambassadors, Maria Sharapova and Mark Webber.
Russian tennis player Sharapova is well-known as one of the great competitors of the sport. She claimed 36 titles, including 5 Grand Slams and an Olympic silver medal during her career. Last year, the 33-year-old hung up her tennis racket once and for all.
Similarly, Webber became a widely popular car racer who won nine F1 Grand Prixs. In 2016, the Australian retired from driving but continued to work with Porsche.

Maria Sharapova scared Mark Webber while driving a Porsche
What started with a quick crash-course from the F1 racer, ended as one of the specials moments of both the ambassadors’ live. Sharapova got the hang of the vehicle instantly and then roared ahead with the Porsche.
The official account of the Stuttgart Open, the city where Porsche is from, shared the picture of that day. They captioned it, “What could possibly scare a tough guy like Porsche Brand Ambassador @aussiegrit?” Aussie Grit is Webber’s Instagram handle name and also the name of the book he authored.
The reactions of both Sharapova and Webber clearly show the amount of fun they had. While Sharapova seems ecstatic driving the sports car, Webber looks simply amazed with the experience. The Australian later took the wheels and took the car for a spin.
