Back in 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens clashed. By extension, this was also a face-off between Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. As expected, the two quarterbacks brought their A game and the clash was a tightly-contested affair.

The Ravens staked a massive claim for the lead when Jackson was able to escape with the ball and flung it to his teammate. One could say that his effort almost resembled a trick that Mahomes could do, which included a side-arm pass. As a result, Jackson gained 21 from the first down.

However, Baltimore’s joy was short-lived, courtesy a brilliant Mahomes effort. He flung the ball hard and far to a teammate, who eventually ended up at the 12.

Later on, the Kansas City Chiefs staved off the Ravens to win 27-24. The franchise went on to top the AFC West division ahead of the Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders and the LA Chargers. Sadly, they never made it to the Super Bowl, with the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles squaring off instead.

Fast-forward to 2020, and Mahomes’ Chiefs are set to host the Houston Texans when the NFL season finally resumes. Meanwhile, Jackson’s Ravens are set to kick-start their season against the Cleveland Browns. Many predict that the Ravens have a relatively easy draw.

The Ravens are scheduled to play five prime-time games for just the second time in their careers. Baltimore’s first nationally televised game of the season is the most anticipated one — a Week 3 home matchup against Kansas City, pitting the past two league MVPs (Jackson and Mahomes) as well as the preseason favorites to end up in the AFC Championship Game.

However, things may be tougher once they get past the bye on November 1st. In spite of this, many suggest that they have an easy run into the playoffs.
