Valorant is definitely going to be the next big addition to esports given its popularity since launch. The game has seen a gradual rise in players and the closed beta itself had close to 3 million of them. It also has around 470 million hours of content viewed on Twitch. Riot has done everything right, so far, to keep the fans intrigued.
Valorant introduces a unique twist to the 5v5 mode where each character has different abilities. People have argued over how certain agents are too over-powered (OP) compared to others. Most of the players would agree that Reyna and Cypher are two of the best agents you can master. But then along comes this guy who goes by the name ‘Flights’, who completely changes the way you look at agent Raze.
Raze is primarily a ‘duelist’, which means the agent is better off going guns blazing smack dab in the middle of a battle. She has two blast-packs, which she calls ‘satchels’ in the game, a cluster grenade, and a boom-bot, which is like a seek-and-destroy bomb. Her ultimate ability is the ‘Showstopper’ that is basically a huge missile launcher. If timed to perfection, this can clear out multiple enemies in the blink of an eye.

‘Flights’ making godlike plays in Valorant with Raze
Well, it may seem pretty straight forward to play with Raze, but YouTuber ‘Flights’ will completely change your perspective. Take a look at this video for instance.
This changes things completely. Now, we have seen a decent amount of aggressive plays, especially with Reyna. But this was completely unexpected. This guy has to be one of the best Raze players in the world. He uses the satchel to cover an outrageous distance and get closer to the enemy. The satchel can only be used twice to jump to a location. So to get the third boost, he uses the kickback from his ultimate to get to his desired position and flank the enemy. He does this to make aggressive plays on every single map where no one would expect him to come in so quickly. People are also starting to call such Raze jumps as ‘Flights’ in the game, and he thoroughly deserves it.

Raze was recently nerfed for being OP but the only change was that her ult now requires 7 points instead of 6. But, if you can use an agent to make such godlike plays, no nerf is going to stop you from dominating the game. Reyna is still considered to be the top duelist and entry-fragger, but with this in the picture, Reyna has some serious competition. Take a look at another one of his videos here.

Riot has work to do
There are endless possibilities as to how you can fully utilize all the agents’ abilities. The game is extremely well-received by the fans but has also been plagued by a lot of hackers/cheaters recently. Even with Riot’s own anti-cheat system, the infamous Vanguard, the devs are still finding it difficult to counter these hackers. People have also expressed their dissatisfaction with Riot’s penalty system. Looks like Riot has work to do. Meanwhile, it’s time to try out some of these Raze plays and see if you can reach the ‘Flights’ level.
