The much-awaited Winter Olympics is here! The opening ceremony will be held tomorrow, with all athletes finishing off their preparations for their performances. Notably, US snowboarding legend, Shaun White, also shared a few pictures of him at the venue, testing his tricks on the half-pipe.

Sadly, this will be White’s 5th and final Olympics. Surely, he has all the more to prove as he wishes to go out in style, crowned as a 4-time Olympic gold medalist. And even though White is not the popular choice, there is a good chance the champion will successfully defend his title.

Reporting live: Shaun White from Beijing Winter Olympics

White has already reached Beijing to take part in the Winter Olympics 2022. After much speculation, the Games are finally set to take place amid covid regulations.

The 3-time champion has begun training for his halfpipe performance. He took to Instagram to share a post of the main halfpipe where the snowboarding events will be held.

“Checking out the pipe,” wrote White. The huge halfpipe could be seen towering over him as he stood tall, decked in his Team USA gear. Notably, he was accompanied by fellow snowboarder J.J. Thomas. Thomas is a 2-time Olympic Bronze medalist in halfpipe snowboarding.

The comments were flooded with good wishes from all his fans, followers, friends, and loved ones. Moreover, White also added a few clips of him snowboarding in the halfpipe. Calm and poised, he looked at ease, ready to snowboard his way to glory.

Certainly, it was a delight to see White practicing for what will be his very last Olympic run. Not to forget, aged 35, White is the most experienced snowboarder out there.

White was also spotted with his newly launched “Whitespace” snowboard. The brand, designed in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, will mainly deal with snowboarding gear.

White launches new brand right before Olympics

It looks like Shaun White has already established his post-Olympic business. The 35-year-old launched his new brand “Whitespace,” earlier this year. He revealed it was late ace designer Virgil Abloh who helped him design the brand.

White paid a tribute to Abloh via his Instagram post, saying how great of a person he was. He was inspired by Abloh and the two bonded over their mutual love for snowboarding.
