Kyrgios mocks Novak Djokovic’s celebration at Australian Open 2021
As the players stepped out onto the court today, Nick continued his love-hate affair with Djokovic. Upon arriving on the court, Kyrgios was seen mocking Novak’s ‘cringeworthy’ celebration, which he does after he wins his match.
Both players have continued their war of words during the tournament this year. Nick has termed Novak a ‘tool’ and even went as far as terming him a ‘strange cat’.
Djokovic even stated that he doesn’t respect Kyrgios off the tennis court, to which the Australian star took offense. During the pandemic, Novak organized an exhibition tournament, which drew criticism due to the timing at which it was conducted. Kyrgios at that time voiced his opinion, disagreeing heavily with the Serbian superstar.
Reflecting back to the Australian Open 2021, Djokovic won his third-round match against Taylor Fritz on Friday. During the match, he tore his muscle close to his rib cage.
