After India A opted to bowl first, their bowling could not stop India B from reaching 300. Owing to centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Baba Aparjit, India B finished with a score of 302 for 6 in the 50 overs.

In reply,? India A could never get really get going. Only Hanuma Vihari managed a half century as India A were dismissed for 194.

It was during this innings that Jayadev Unadkat had come out to bat when his team were 169 for 7. He was facing his seventh ball of the innings from Shabaaz Nadeem. He defended the ball back to the bowler and took a few steps forward. Being unaware that Nadeem was throwing the ball to the wicket keeper Parthiv Patel, Unadkat remained out of the crease. Parthiv took this as an opportunity to knock the bails off, much to the disappointment of Unadkat.

Apparently, there were two more run outs in the innings before Unadkat, that of middle order batsman Amandeep Khare and wicket keeper Ishan Kishan.

Although their foverall effect in the field was noteworthy, it was their batsmen that had set up the victory. Baba Aparjit had played an innings of great quality and so did opener Ruturaj Gaikwad.

What seemed good about Aparjit’s innings was the way he paced his innings. He made a steady start to the innings and accelerated when it was needed.
