The Giro d’Italia, held in Italy, is an annual cycling race. It is a multiple-step bicycle race that also passes through other countries. The race is a World Tour event, with various UCI World Teams participating from around the world.

The race is equaled with the big events like Tour De France and consists of 21 stages over a period of 23-24 days. This year’s race started off from Turin, Italy, with Egan Bernal emerging as the winner.

Additionally, every year the race witnesses cyclists showing off their amazing skills on track. This year, a viral video shows French Cyclist Rudy Molard pulling off an insane trick while riding, to prevent a crash.

Rudy Molard pulls off a crazy cycling stunt

The video shows Molard riding swiftly through the track when he suddenly takes off his shoe to adjust the pedals of his bicycle.

With a quick one-hand move, he takes off his shoe and uses his right hand to adjust the pedal of his cycle. And then again, ever so swiftly, he puts on his shoe like nothing ever happened. All of this, while riding to glory.

Molard looked like he had done this before as he didn’t even flinch while pulling off this insane trick.

Netizens have commented that this is actually a trick that pro cyclists are accustomed to. Most of these cyclists spend hours on the road, even practicing certain tricks that come to their rescue in dying times.

Among other amused fans, a cycling enthusiast explained how most cyclists can do this and make it look so effortless.

Molard has certainly taken his skills a notch higher with that insane trick on the road. Currently, he rides for the UCI WorldTeam Groupama–FDJ.

Giro d’Italia 2022 route revealed

Meanwhile, the route for the 2022 Giro d’Italia has also been revealed. The new route will feature 6 mountain ranges.

The race organizer RCS Sport announced the route on Wednesday. Notably, 2021 champion Egan Bernal has revealed that this route will actually be very tough to conquer.

“With these six high mountain stages it is clear that the 2022 Giro d’Italia will be another tough one,” said Bernal.

“Then there will be the mythical climbs like the Mortirolo, where great champions have written important chapters in cycling history,” he added.

The race will officially kick off from Hungary in May, 2o22.
