Elite figure skaters crash into each other and Winter Olympics
Figure skating involves performing on the almost glass-like ice while wearing sharp blades. Figure skaters train at high speeds to gain momentum and perform stunts.
It was during one of the training sessions in the Beijing Winter Olympics that two pairs of elite figure skaters crashed into each other. Both of them were training at high speeds. They saw the crash incoming, but it wasn’t possible to change direction so quickly.
James and Radford crashed into Italian pairs of Nicole Della Monica and Matteo Guarise. Della Monica saw the crash coming and skated out of the way at the last moment. Meanwhile, Radford and James collided with Guarise, who rose immediately and then helped Radford to his feet.
