Austrian star Dominic Thiem put on a flawless performance against his friend Diego Schwartzman to clinch an important tie for his country. Thiem looked impeccable on the court throughout the match.

The match was pretty much in Thiem’s favour as he was serving at 6-3, 4-4 (40-0). His serve which was aimed at the T was called in by the chair umpire.
However, Schwartzman was visibally upset by the decision. Unfortunately, the Argentinian had no review left.

Dominic Thiem obliged saying that he was ready to challenge. However, as the point had gone in his favour, this was not possible. The chair umpire informed Thiem that he could replay the point if he liked.

How Did The Match Between Thiem And Diego Schwartzman Play Out?
The match was a very good one for the Austrian. After facing a surprise defeat the Croat Borna Coric, Thiem pulled up his socks for this contest. He was rewarded for his efforts as he secured a 6-3, 7-6 (3) victory.
His victory kept Austrian hopes alive at the ATP Cup after the team lost their first contest to the Croats. This was after his compatriot Dennis Novak secured an impressive victory against higher ranked Guido Pella after losing the first set 6-0.
