The qualification rounds for halfpipe snowboarding were held on February 9 2022. Chloe Kim stands strong dominating both the qualification rounds.
The 21-year old who easily falls among the youngest snowboarders didn’t let anyone get past her and topped the scoreboard. She is the 2018 halfpipe champion and is planning to take away the title this year too.

Chloe Kim gives a dominating start to the Winter Olympics
The qualification rounds of the Winter Olympics were held on Wednesday morning and Chloe Kim was there to do some serious business. She absolutely nailed both the qualification rounds and topped the scoreboard.
Kim was quite dominant in her performance. Making absolutely no mistakes, she gave two back-to-back flawless performances. Her form was good, her technique spotless. The 21-YO American now has a fiery start to the Winter Olympics.
In 2018, when she became the halfpipe champion, the Californian was just 17 years old. Even though she was under a lot of pressure and stress, she still went ahead to show her supremacy.
Now, at 21 years old, she is much more experienced and wise enough to not fall into the trap of negative comments. She has previously already mentioned that she will be performing on her own terms, whatever the consequence.

Chloe topped the board with the best score of 87.75 in her qualification round. Later, Kim revealed that she was nervous but glad that she made it.

“I was so nervous my first run cause we are at the Olympics but I am so happy I put one down,” said Kim.
These results show that Kim is in her top form and ready to dominate her area of expertise. Kim, who has been snowboarding since a very young age is now one of the world’s best snowboarders.

Additionally, she also revealed that she tried “something new” in her second run, and didn’t even think she would make it that fair. She not only gave her best, but she also took a risk by trying something new and still topped the board.
She added that she was confident about her performance and was glad to have qualified. Kim is pretty excited and hyped up for her next performance.
