As Jimmy Butler came out to take free-throws during the game against Brooklyn Nets on Friday, the crowd inside the Barclays Centre did not forget what had happened two nights ago.

During the game between Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat on Wednesday, Butler and his Pacers counterpart TJ Warren had a physical confrontation, which saw the latter get ejected.

So, when the Butler came out to take free-throws just before half time on Friday against the Nets, the fans were shouting Warren’s name.

The Jimmy Butler & TJ Warren Beef

Warren was marking Butler when the Pacers played Miami on Wednesday. Naturally the duo were involved in some tussles. A major one came in the third quarter when Butler was going for a drive and Warren fouled him from behind, and the two players stared at each other. As the duo were being separated from one another, Butler was shouting “you’re f****** trash” while Warren screaming back “I’ll beat your f****** ass.

Only a few possessions later, an offensive foul was given against Butler for pushing Warren. Warren wasn’t going to sit back and went to taunt Butler on his face. This immediately led to his ejection. As Warren was walking off the court, Butler blew a kiss towards him.

Butler wasn’t done yet. Immediately after the game, Butler posted a photo on Instagram where he highlighted the next fixture when he would meet Warren.

Eventually, both TJ Warren and Jimmy Butler were found guilty for their altercation and were fined an amount of $25,000 and $35,000 respectively.

Butler is known to have been fined a bigger amount for escalating the issue on social media.
