Just because every F1 driver and team personnel are stuck at home, it doesn’t mean that the entire team is sitting idle. In order to entertain fans during this difficult period, McLaren have stepped up their social media game. While at home, the duo of Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris and their trainers played a game of Passwords with Sky F1’s Natalie Pinkham.

Unfortunately, the McLaren teammates were fairly terrible at the game, though Sainz won handily. Norris kicked off the game and his password was ‘Speed’. Norris’ job was to give his partner a one-word clue to help them guess the password. Of course, Carlos Sainz could not resist ribbing Norris when he said, “And we don’t have all day, Lando”. Norris then made the first big mistake, when he said, “Miles per hour”. While his trainer guessed correctly, he still broke the rules.

Naturally, everyone called him out and Sainz quipped that he wasn’t surprised, as he always ‘cheats’. Next up was the word, ‘Attack’, and trainers, Rupert and John had to ensure that Sainz or Norris guessed the right word. Unfortunately, this proved to be another false start, as John accidentally gave it away.

With the score still at 0-0, it was Sainz’ turn to guess, and the word was, ‘operator’, and the Spaniard entered a staring contest with Rupert. The good news is, he correctly guessed the password. With this, The 25-year old grabbed the lead. He then proceeded to double the lead in the next round.

However, the British youngster pulled one back to make the score 2-1. Unfortunately for Norris, Sainz Jr grabbed the final point to take the win 3-1. All in all, there were plenty of laughs and banter going around. Sadly, it got worse for Norris because the winner got to post anything on the loser’s Instagram page.
