Anthony Davis had a scary fall during the game between Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks at the Staples Centre on Wednesday.
With 2:45 minutes to go in the third quarter, in a Knicks possession, Davis went up for a block but fell down hurting his tailbone.
He stayed down for a few moments before uncomfortably walking into the dugout but not without some help.

Davis played 28 minutes in the game without much returns considering his usually high standards. He contributed with just five points, apart from dishing out six assists and taking down six rebounds.
A few minutes after he went in, it was reported that the X- Rays negative, but he is still in some pain, and will not return to the game.
He was reported to be suffered a sacral contusion.

Anthony Davis- worth it for the Lakers
Davis has been hugely influential for the Lakers this season. Although a few believed the Lakers were giving a little too much for Davis, he has proved worth every bit of it since coming in. His partnership with LeBron James has been enviable for other teams.

So far, Davis is averaging 27.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.6 blocks per game, making 50.7 percent from the field.
His loss could leave the Lakers reeling for options. Dave McMenamin of ESPN has reported that Davis is expected to miss the upcoming road trips to Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder. Lakers will be hoping the injury is not very serious and he will be available soon.

Anthony Davis was able to walk in the player tunnel at Staples Center as the initial shock of the fall wore off, a source tells ESPN. The plan is for Davis to undergo an MRI on Wednesday. He is expected to miss the upcoming road trip in DAL & OKC to stay back and rehab.
