Team India defeated Pakistan by 89 runs (DLS method) in a high-voltage match at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Sunday at the Old Trafford, Manchester. While the Pakistani fans were certainly disappointed by the result, Wasim Akram lashed out at the Pakitan Cricket Board after the unsatisfactory performance by the Pakistani players against India.
Wasim Akram praised the Indian Cricket Board to invest in first-class cricket. He also blasted on the PCB for not giving importance to the first class cricket. He said, “Indian cricket has invested everything in First-Class cricket not just in the last few years. In Pakistan, we’ve hardly done anything about our First-Class system and change it every year. Our First-class cricket was run by a random journalist for some odd reason, I don’t know why”

Wasim Akram also suggested in an interview that none of the Pakistani bowlers came up and asked for his bowling tips. On the other hand, the Indian bowlers respected him and took advice from him.
Earlier, Wasim Akram had suggested the Pakistani bowler target the “vulnerable” middle order of India. The former Pakistani fast bowler told PTI, “India has a solid top order. Not only there is Virat Kohli but there’s also Rohit Sharma. But I have a feeling that middle order isn’t that settled. Pakistan bowlers should try to cash in on that aspect.”

Wasim Akram backed Mohammad Aamir and said, “I don’t know why did they drop Aamir in the first place. His presence even when he is not at his best is important. He is a senior bowler now and I believe he has a duty to guide the youngsters.”
