The LeBron Tune Squad skin in Fortnite

Ever since the announcement of Space Jam: A New Legacy, the King has shown up on a lot of different titles. The superstar recently collaborated with Xbox to create custom controllers and sneakers. Fans had an idea about his arrival on Fortnite couple of weeks ago when an image of an incomplete Fortnite mural in Chicago sparked rumors about it.

Fortnite finally announced his entry into the game earlier this week with an Icon Series skin. Fans can pick up his skins equipped with his new LeBron 19 sneakers from the item shop. Other than that, they can even receive his bundle which includes a Wingspan Glider. But the star attraction was the LeBron Tune Squad skin which also had a Taco Tuesday variant, inspired by his iconic catchphrase.

Epic Games responds to the leaked code fiasco

Fans could have gained the LeBron Tune Squad skin if they used a leaked code to redeem it in Fortnite. However, many fans received nothing when they tried using it as it showed that the code didn’t work anymore. Some fans even emailed the developers at Epic Games about this issue, and they explained the reasoning behind it. They stated that the code had a limited amount of redemptions, and only the first 2,300 players would receive this skin before it became useless.

In the end, it’s a shame that fans couldn’t redeem an epic skin like this. But fans of LeBron James don’t have to worry much as they can still purchase it from the store. Along with his Tune Squad skin, fans have a lot of other options, and they should definitely check out the shop for them.
