The NFL 2020 season schedule was made public earlier this year. As per the official announcement, the NFL preseason starts on August 8, 2020. Kansas City Chiefs take on Houston Texans in the opening game of the regular NFL season this year.
However, league officials and NFLPA members are still chalking out the details regarding player safety and salary cuts. Amidst all this uncertainty and the Coronavirus pandemic, there is a lot of confusion amongst players in the league.
Many NFL stars have spoken out in public about issues regarding their safety and that of their families. Despite all this chaos, Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, remains optimistic that the 2020 season will go ahead as planned.

Green Bay Packers great Aaron Rodgers hopeful ahead of 2020 season
The likes of Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and other NFL stars featured on the golf course at this weekend’s American Century Championship Tournament.
The Green Bay Packers QB stopped for a short interview with NBCSports. He talked about his concerns surrounding the 2020 season schedule.
“I think top of mind is are we gonna have a season?. I think there’s a lot of things yet to be figured out. We’re hopeful, we’re hopeful that it’s with fans and we can get all the testing procedures down the way the want it for the utmost amount of safety.
“But I think we’re kind wating for the league and the [NFL Players Association] to figure some things out,” Rodgers said.

It’s not just Rodgers who has doubts about the 2020 NFL schedule. The likes of JJ Watt, Donovan Smith, and Nate Solder have expressed their respective apprehensions pertaining to the Coronavirus pandemic and the start of the season.

The NFLPA held multiple discussions with senior NFL officials. They will come out with a concrete contingency plan by the end of this month before the start of preseason games.
