Weather and pitch report

Expected temperatures are around 20 degrees which sounds excellent for cricket. Although light showers are expected during the day, it doesn’t seem like it would affect cricket.

The Taunton pitch has always been a high scoring one with an average first innings score of 194. The ground once saw England Woman score 250 runs in 20 overs. The pitch shows signs of slowing down towards the second innings, and the team batting first generally has a slight advantage.

H2H record

Somerset and Gloucestershire, in their last five matches, have won two each, with one match being called off. The upcoming contest should be another ripping contest with both teams looking to take a step towards the knockout stage of the tournament.

The toss should play a crucial role and the team winning the toss seems to have an advantage due to nature of the pitch.
