Scout camps have always been a part of US culture. They shape a young kid into a disciplined and well-mannered teen. Scout camps also have various extracurricular activities which keep in check the athletics and the sporty side of the child.

However, recently, one of the Boy Scouts from the camps suffered a major tragedy that is irreversible and has left his family and the camp mates, and even the organizers in pure shock.

Gone too soon, a young Boy Scout loses his life. 

According to the news from the New Hampshire State Police, an 11-year-old boy named Keoni Hubbard turned up dead after he was involved in a boating accident. Howard was from Troop 119 in Lexington. The accident occurred on Manning Lake in Gilmanton and the injuries suffered were so brutal that the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one apart from his family would ever understand how deep and painful this loss is. Young Hubbard’s family released a statement for their kid, “Our hearts are forever broken by the loss of our Keoni. Beloved by his family and friends, Keoni’s spirit and empathy for others resonated with all who love and admire him. Keoni was simply the best – a selfless child who truly found joy in the happiness of others. Our family appreciates the support of the community and respectfully asks that you respect our privacy as we mourn the unimaginable loss of our beloved Keoni.”

Although boating seems innocuous, there have been a few boating-related accidents in the past. Sometimes they can be fatal for adults as well. A legendary baseball player lost his life in a boat accident a few years ago.
