During any sports event, there are multiple organisers and sponsors in the background. Off the field, these sponsors make sure to mark their presence. However, somewhere they must use a good strategy to bring themselves in.
In a recent Paralympic event, Tissot watches horribly failed to promote themselves. Their move was widely criticized on social platforms.

In a recent incident, a gift was presented to the Paralympic athlete by Tissot Watches. It was good that they were trying to make a good gesture out of it. They got only one thing wrong, the man they were presenting the watch didn’t have arms. There is a reason it is called Paralympics and somewhere the sponsors missed that.

The athlete showing good gestures receives the watch with a smile. However, everyone around and anyone who will see that one point of view would be a sheer joke on the athlete. Although it is just one idea and no one took it that seriously. The post was widely shared on social media and a lot of comments were made on the same.

I could not imagine being the guy handing him the watch lol, no thought at all put into that.

After this incident, critical remarks are all around. It is now time for sponsors to take the Paralympics more seriously. The distribution of the prizes along with the publicity of the brand should walk in harmony. For example, Tissot watches could have provided a good sum of money to the Paralympic athlete as it would have helped him in his upcoming career. However, this is a done thing, and it is a hope that such instances are not repeated in future. Sometimes there are sentiments involved against certain activities and though unintentional, at some point it is wrong. In the end, it can be concluded with the fact that the gift wasn’t intended to hurt any sentiments and after the wide discussions, improvements would surely be made.
