VIDEO: Transwoman Beats Up Alleged Transphobe in WWE-Style Confrontation

Gender identity is a highly contentious and debated topics, especially in the field of sports in the last eighteen months or so. The participation of transgender athletes in various male and female categories has thrown a new set of challenges in high school and NCCA level competitions.

On the back of which, transgender athletes and people in general, have experienced some form of violence against them. A viral clip doing rounds on X, showed an altercation on the similar lines, where a man and a transwoman were shown fighting each other,.

WWE showdown after man passes transphobic comments

Uploaded on X by the very famous page ‘Fight Mate’, the video showed a transwoman unleashing her fury over a man. According to the post’s caption, the man was facing the heat for alleged transphobic behavior and comments he made.

The clip started with the transwoman tumbling him to the floor, all very WWE-esque. Onlookers cheered and screamed as the woman continued to pound and stomp the man as he lay on the floor.

She was in no mood to show mercy and made sure he felt pain. At the end of the clip, she started punching and banging his head on a steel door, reminiscent of a WWE hell-in-cell battle.

Internet reacts to brutal takedown

A total of 22 states have banned the participation of transgender athletes in the wake of the Lia Thomas controversy and growing calls for justice among the other athletes. These certain decisions have had a ripple effect with some negative connotations, which were visible in the violent brawl.

The video certainly showed how there is a long way to go in addressing the issue of discrimination based on gender identity. Transgenders, in particular, are in the midst of a lot of heat after calls for a blanket ban on their participation in high school sports are rising.
