With the unfolding of the holiday season, Shenandoah hosts its unique Skydiving Santa event and this year marks the 16th year. Defying gravity and traditional holiday norms, the skydiving event has been an initiative taken up by the renowned snack brand, Mrs. T’s Pierogies. The quirky spectacle ensures to add a magical kickstart to the holidays.

With Christmas closer than ever, the skydiving event is gaining more attention. Other than gift-giving, Santa Claus is ready for some more heroics!

Santa’s skydiving extravaganza enhances the grand entrance

Blending skydiving stunts with community cheer and festive characters, the event has been scheduled for November 24. As reported by, Skook News, the venue for the event is the Veterans Memorial Stadium on Stadium Road. Visitors will be allowed to enter the winter wonderland after the gates will open at 10:30 a.m. 

However, the highlight for the day is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Relying on favorable weather conditions, the skydiving feat featuring Santa making a poised yet breathtaking entry will promise a mesmerizing experience. Since the situation around the climate in Shenandoah might turn unpredictable, backup plans have also been made.

In any case, firetrucks and helicopters have been arranged so that the celebrations do not get halted due to bad weather conditions. They also serve as a precaution in case the skydiving stunt fails. Even though the audience awaits Santa’s spectacular entrance, other events also line up. 

Spreading joy through the parade and warm wishes

Besides the skydiving stunt and grand entry by Santa, the promising day will be filled with Christmas magic. With the entry of live characters like Frosty the Snowman, Mrs. Claus, and Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, there are sure to be smiles all around. The first 200 children entering under twelve years will also receive complimentary gifts.

Adding an extra sprinkle of joy to the festive atmosphere, the event will be working for a noble cause. Intending to add a charitable touch, the Shenandoah Valley School District Band Boosters will be arranging a fundraising event. A part of the fund that will be gathered selling hot chocolates will go towards the community. Santa will be taking part in a parade after making his skydiving entry, extending warm holiday greetings at the Borough Hall. In addition, people will be taking part in the annual celebration basking in the holiday spirit.

While the residents of Shenandoah await to witness the 16th Skydiving Santa event, the community is also eagerly awaiting a day filled with laughter, joy, and festive magic. It is through the unique celebration that the community will come together, setting the perfect tone for the upcoming holiday season.
