A video has gone viral, that captured the collision between the traditional form and this classic embodying serpentine fluidity.

A video has gone viral on the internet as two fighters prepare to launch a fight against each other. Even though both of them in the beginning refrain from launching an attack, the short clip captures the intersection of two different disciplines, karate in the world of WWE.    

Diversity in WWE combat

The video that has been posted on Twitter by “Hard Fights World” with the caption “Man was watching too much cobra kai” has gone viral with more than 70K views. Channeling the characteristic twisting and striking motions, the video shows one of the fighters, shadow practicing the moves. 

His intricate gestures have found close parallels with the popular American martial arts comedy-drama TV series, known as the Cobra Kai. The fighter in the video encompassed a seamless blend of hypnotic, snake-like agility along with defensive karate postures. While the other fighter prepares himself, not flaunting his moves, at the end with just one gesture he pins the other fighter down.  

As the fighter lay on the ground completely immobilized, it drew parallels with a scene from a live WWE spectacle. The video served as a reminder that in the world of WWE, it is the skilled moves that conquer all and not the fancy gestures.      

Reaction of fans to serpentine grace

In the comment section, fans have expressed their views about the new style of fighting. The practice included many moves. However, a fan expressed his doubt about the impact of them on being implemented, saying, “Dude is the dog that barks but no bite.” 

Since the moves practiced by the fighter lacked intensity, another fan commented, “Nah bro, he just missed his ultimate”. 

His sincere efforts in front of the MMA fighter, practicing shadow moves earned him the title, “The real karate kid in action”.

The caption of the video has been rightly placed since Cobra Kai portrays diverse martial arts philosophies and fuses them with conventional techniques like WWE. The video brilliantly underscored the interaction of popular culture with martial arts and showcased the allure of ancient fighting forms in the modern context. No matter how expert or novice the fighters are, the fights require the attention and supervision of experts.  

This video has captured the perfect example of an anti-climax since the grandeur moves that one of the fighters pulled out had peaked the expectation about him winning. However, it was the fighter who appeared to be an apprentice who won over the other by thrashing him on the ground, executing a simple yet powerful move.
