VIDEO: Thief’s Attempt to Snatch Woman’s Purse on Bus Foiled as Driver Intervenes With Force

A bus driver’s quick thinking ended up saving the day and a woman’s purse after an unsuccessful attempt by a thief. A viral clip shared online showed how the driver foiled the plans of the thief and made him regret it instantly.

Bus driver’s quick wit saves the day

The video clip went viral after the popular page ‘CCTV IDIOTS’ uploaded it on their X page and garnered a lot of reactions from people online. The video showed two men hovering around the bus as other passengers got in from the bus stop. One of them entered the bus, and the other stood back, suspiciously. The man climbed on top and did not pay the driver for a ticket, but tried to grab the purse of the woman on the first seat. He cunningly played it off as a prank and laughed at the people on the bus before he tried to grab it again, only this time it was too late.

The driver used his presence of mind and locked the door before the man could escape. Both men tried to stop it from closing, but there was nothing they could do and the thief was trapped. The driver then brought a stick out and started pelting the man with it continuously, not paying any attention to his cries, asking him to stop. The driver stopped right next to a police officer down the road and they take him into custody.

Officers examined the vehicle and questioned the driver and the thief was seen screaming in the end as they tackle him down.
