The Barng’etuny Mountain Run campaign in Nandi County witnessed his gracious participation, clad in a striking white and black tracksuit. However, the game captured unparalleled attention for an entirely different reason, all rooted in a sudden stumble. 

With thousands of running enthusiasts gathered in the buzzing venue, Gachagua left the spectators in awe as he embarked on the track. While an unforeseen moment of imbalanced steps landed upon his path, the race still culminated in the bold athlete’s jaw-dropping finish. Remarkably, the running champion for both male and female contenders were presented with a staggering amount of Ksh500,000 ( $3170). Adding to this epic racing extravaganza, the second-place winners pocketed around Ksh200,000 ($1270), while Gachagua ended the show with a resounding message of perseverance.
