If you haven’t caught Tom Cruise’s jaw-dropping stunt in Mission Impossible 7, here’s the scoop: he basically goes full send off a cliff on a motorbike, bails mid-air, and floats down on a parachute like a boss! Now plenty have tried to recreate this epic move, but Luke Woodland from Mountain Man Base? He took it up a notch!

Luke Woodland’s Incredible Stunt

Sponsored by LADBible, Luke took to doing this stunt earlier this year. Around June, he took his bike around for a spin in Eastbourne, England. He accelerates a lot before he reaches the required speed for the stunt.

After this, he carefully aligns his bike with the ramp, which allows him to get enough elevation for the stunt to go smoothly. He then proceeds to Jump off the cliff on his bike and jump off the bike onto his parachute while triggering the parachute for his bike as well.

While he shot several POVs for this stunt, one of them went extremely viral. However, ardent fans curious to see the other perspectives can find them on his Instagram channel. There are 2 side POVs from the two sides, and one camera was shot from the drone directly.

One thing to note particularly is the fact that the bike survived the fall without any major damage. Even the camera, which was secured to the bike, survived the fall. For this very reason, several fans on Instagram quickly called this attempt better than Tom Cruise’s stunt in the Mission Impossible film franchise.

Instagram reacted to the heroic stunt!

Several fans were quick to appreciate that he saved the motorcycle. “Wow,” one fan wrote, “I like that you also saved your motorcycle.” Comments like “I’m so happy that the bike got his own parachute” also made the rounds.

One fan in particular wrote that he rates the stunt above Tom Cruise’s stunt. “Crazy!! I would rate this 2 levels above Tom Cruise’s stunt 😁. More strength to the team.”

However, the internet was not all positive about the stunt either. Unaware of the other POVs that posted the full video, fans criticized the video’s abrupt ending. “Why did the cameraman stop filming?! Any good sports cameraman knows that you get the whole trick from start to finish.”
