A 17-year-old high school cheerleader from LaGrange, Kinslee Creed, met her untimely demise on December 17, after a harrowing car crash on December 15, 2023. Immediately after the crash, the teenager was rushed to the hospital, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Unfortunately, Creed passed away days later.
Creed was a Georgia resident, who was on her way to catch a glimpse of the Christmas decorations in town.

As reported by Yahoo, the Georgia State Patrol has estimated the time of the crash to have taken place at around 7 pm. According to their statement, Kinslee Creed’s SUV was smoothly driving along Georgia State Route 18 on the day of the crash. It was at this moment a fellow rider tried to change their lane in an improper manner. The car lost control and thudded into the back of Creed’s SUV.
As soon as the impact was made, the SUV darted forward and hit the median, after which it took a few tumbles. Such an unprecedented situation took Creed by surprise and caused some serious injuries to the teenager. The police department is closely monitoring the investigation and is in search of the car that hit the SUV in the back.
As Creed’s family set up a GoFundMe account to meet the expense of the funeral, the near and dear ones of the teenager expressed their condolences and despair.

She worked as a server at Karvelas Pizza Company and Longhorn Steakhouse. Creed attended Callaway High School and was set to graduate in spring. They held a moment of silence for the teenager before a basketball game.
Family mourns the untimely passing of Kinslee Creed
Creed’s alma mater, Callaway High School, expressed their grief via a post on Facebook, stating that the news had left them “devastated and heartbroken”. The school gathered for a prayer, inviting locals to show up in pink to honor the departed soul.
Laura Buice, Creed’s mother, was devastated beyond consolation. She stated, “I don’t have the words as my world has crashed down and my heart has shattered in a million piece… I do want everyone to know I see the messages and posts and I see how my sweet girl has impacted so many lives.”

Speaking about her granddaughter, Creed’s step-grandmother, Valerie Hammett Buice stated that she felt as if her heart had been shattered into a thousand fragments. Valerie also pointed out that Creed’s absence had left a gaping hole that won’t ever be fixed. Many others posted about the teenager on social media, including a clip where Creed was spotted delivering an inspirational graduation speech. Reflecting on her vibrant self, Kinslee Creed’s obituary describes her as a “free spirit”, who was always “unapologetically herself”.
A memorial service will be held on December 27 at 1 p.m. at Baptist Tabernacle in LaGrange.
