Reportedly, the elderly cyclist was a part of the group from 2016. Although he survived after encountering the scenario 7 years ago, his recent tour ended on a different note. Unfortunately, the injured man did not survive the harrowing crash, marking the 91st life lost on the state’s roads this year.

The records showcased a concerning trend of increase in street collisions when compared to the 2022 statistics, which read at 71 for the entire year. This has lead to the local council currently investigating the matter with utmost importance.

Surprisingly, the driver of the car was saved from injuries, as he was seen in an act of honesty. The 30-year-old Port Pirie West resident has reportedly joined hands with the police, assisting them with every session of inquiries.
