While speaking with The Sun, Stornes looked back at his spine-chilling attempt in December. He stated that being fearful was not an option. He courageously stated, There was no room for fear.” Stornes also said that there was no room for any thinking or calculations at the moment of the jump. He also informed that all the planning and analysis had been done months prior to his attempt, and on the D-day, it was just pure instinct. Justifying his statements, Stornes said,It’s not because I’m tough for anything like that, it’s just because it’s so dangerous that you’re running on survival instinct. On being asked about the main variable during the jump, Stornes said that it was timing. He elaborated that right before the stunt, Stornes had to go into a ‘tuck’ position which would diminish the damages from impact significantly. He also informed that the slightest letdown here and there, and he was in for disaster. Stressing the importance of maintaining a good position, he gave examples of instances where Stornes suffered internal damage that led him to cough up blood. Interestingly, these jumps were from half the height of his December jump.

However, when asked about why he chose to attempt such ventures which have a significant amount of perils associated, Stornes answered in his carefree manner. Although he agreed that these stunts could be life-threatening, the 35-year-old was of the opinion that if something is perilous, one must not avoid it, rather, one should look to perfect his skills on discipline.

Interestingly, Ken Stornes also spoke about his unrealistic experience moments after he took the plunge.
