The girl ventured into the wilderness forgetting about what today’s generation adores the most, her cell phone. Without any technological gadget, she set on a hike in the wilderness. But soon the adventurous journey took a sudden turn.
She did not return to her house within the stipulated time leaving her family in tension and distress. It was more than 2 hours that she had been out for the hike. Unfortunately, her family could not connect with her and were forced to reach out for help to the rescue team.
The incident happened on September 23. After waiting for quite a few hours her father called 911 for assistance at about 7:36 pm.
As the clock ticked the situation was getting tougher for the family. The Hawaii firefighters immediately set on for a rescue operation. They went with a rescue helicopter to search for the young girl. After about an hour, at 8:41 pm, she was miraculously found waving for help on a ridge near Nanakuli.
After she was spotted on the ridge, the team immediately dropped a rescuer from the helicopter and rescued her. She was then taken to a clean area by the rescuer and then they were picked up by the helicopter. The Honolulu Fire Department reported that the girl was unharmed and she did not ask for any further medical help.
