The South High Marathon Dance is scheduled to take place in 2024, however, the preparations are going on in full fledge. The annual dance event focuses on lending a helping hand to families as well as nonprofit organizations fighting against debilitating diseases.
Based on the reports of News 10, the South Glens Fall Girls Recreational Softball team is all set to take up center stage on November 4, Saturday with their Fall Foliage Softball Fundraiser to ensure that the fundraising tradition continues without any hindrance.
A thrilling lineup of softball action has been set up with the U8 and U10 categories kicking off in noon, 12U, and 14U matches scheduled at 2 p.m. However, to be a part of the game, the officials have adopted a meaningful twist in the admission process.
Making a positive difference in the community by playing softball
The contribution amount of $50 that each participant will be making to participate in the softball match will be donated directly to the dance marathon event. Besides the contribution gathered from their registration fee, the participants will have the opportunity to make further grants by purchasing dance-branded shirts. As a recreation, the interested participants willing to refine their softball skills can engage in a groundbreaking ceremony of batting cages.

Last year the fundraising program that took place in March had accumulated a hefty amount of $630,111 for 22 beneficiaries. To make the fundraising event a bigger success, a concessions stand will open ensuring that the participants enjoy their time satisfying their appetites and hearts.
In this way, the fundraiser program will encourage the participation of local businesses in and around the area of South Glens Falls engaging in trade transforming the South High gymnasium into a philanthropic hub.
