In the wake of Christmas day, the soccer community has been grief-stricken by the news of the sudden demise of an 18-year-old shining star. The untimely passing of the young soccer prodigy has left an indelible mark on the heart of Northwest Mississippi Community College. 

As one navigates the echoes of the young soul’s vibrant life, one would unravel a tale that extends far beyond the boundaries of the soccer field. The young boy of 18 was a cherished member of his local community and fostered a remarkable connection with orphans and special needs children. He left an imprint not just in the realm of the game but in the lives he enriched beyond measure.

Celebrating the life of soccer prodigy Kaden Scott Archer

Last Monday, December 25, 2023, 18-year-old Kaden Scott Archer breathed his last at his residence. Born on August 6, 2005, he has been a resident of Rankin County. A proud graduate and a cherished member of the Pine Lake Church, he did not only excelled in athletics but also embraced a deep-seated compassion for the human world.

From his childhood days, Archer enjoyed playing soccer. His unwavering love and devotion towards his family, especially for his sisters, made him even more endearing. He has left behind a loving but unfortunate family, including his parents, sisters, and grandparents.

His funeral will be held on December 29, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitors would be allowed from 9 am on December 29, and funeral services would be at around 11 in the morning. The pallbearers for the funeral would be John Wayne Blough III, Jesse Comolli, Parker Sellers, Thomas Clark, Christopher Artem Sinclair, and Pierce Wilson Hayden.

Archer’s compassionate spirit resonated with those fortunate enough to cross his paths. His legacy is one of selflessness, and he will always continue to reside in the heart of the Mississippi Community College team. Kaden’s family has expressed a heartfelt request for memorials to be directed to the Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp located at 50 Fieldstone, Hattiesburg, MS 39402.
