It was only two years ago that Hampton decided to take a detour from her secure job to pursue full-time skydiving. In an interview with Nottinghamshire Live, Hampton shared her thoughts, I enjoyed my job but it had always been in the back of my mind that I only had it so that I could afford to do the skydiving that I wanted to do.”

Even though initially she was terrified it turned out to be too surreal that she was no longer scared of the height. Hence, the move that she took of giving up her job has left Hampton with no regret.

Hampton shared a note of gratitude stating, I’m earning loads less. So much less! But it’s absolutely alright because I’m so much happier. I loved my old job and wouldn’t change it but I’m loving what I’m doing now, so the fact that I’m not earning as much money really doesn’t matter. Every morning I get up and providing the sun is shining, I get to go and jump out of a plane for a living, and that’s the best thing in the world.”

She worked hard to earn her license as a coach and took her skydiving passion to another level by co-founding a quartet “formation” skydiving team known as Chimera in 2016. Hampton continued her spree of accomplishments by winning the British national Skydiving in 2022 both for outdoor and indoor categories. In June this year, she and her team secured the recommendable fifth place at the World Championships.
