The eight-day cycling odyssey encouraged overseas cyclists to congregate from seven countries including Italy, France and Switzerland among others. During the span between September 19 and September 26, the group made it to the salient spot of Prince’s Palace square in Monaco. Covering an average of 150 kilometers of the day, at the end of the journey the cyclists succeeded in raising an impressive amount of 160,000 euros.
As highlighted by Clare Brook, the CEO of the Blue Marine Foundation, it is only through cumulative effort the situation he describes as “the largest solvable problem on the planet-the crisis in the oceans” can be tackled.
On reaching the ultimate spot at Palace square, champagne flowed to celebrate the cyclists’ incredible endeavor. Through this journey, the enthusiastic athletes apart from conquering the road, paved a route towards accomplishing a more protected ecosystem.
