Even though Cramb had been able to be there for a short while, the Tyndale player had been a cherished member of Tyndale Rugby Club, a friend and a beacon of hope. His latest victory was getting featured for the 1st XV in the recent takeover against Billingham on December 16.
The National League Rugby has released a statement in the wake of this tragedy, “We are extremely saddened to announce the tragic death of Rory Cramb, a much-loved player, member, and friend of the Tynedale Rugby Club family.” Being a strong player in the Junior section, he had represented the Northumbrian club at the Raiders level.

Unfortunate events now have become an integral part of the world of rugby. In October, the sport lost another talent, 28-year-old Arturas Rudys who played for Wisbech Rugby Club. It was during the match, that the player suffered a cardiac arrest while he was involved in a tackle. On the same day of Cramb’s death, the Australian rugby team, Canberra Raiders lost a 26-year-old player, who had represented the club twice at an international level, Troy Dargan to a motorcycle crash in the Cook Islands.
