Dorothy Hoffner became the oldest woman to leap from the clouds a few days back. Her unending willpower and courage made it possible for her to fulfill her dreams at the age of 104 before she left her earthly abode.

Hoffner was from Chicago. Her zest for adventure has always proved the fact ‘age is just a number’ way too strongly. The 104-year-old’s planned record-breaking dive unfolded in a small town near Ottawa, at Skydive Chicago. It was not just an ordinary adventurous escapade but a mission which Hoffner emerged successful in.

According to sources, a close friend of Hoffner, Joe Conant, stated that the 104-year-old passed away peacefully in her sleep. The superhero skydiver was found dead by the staffs of the Brookdale Lake View senior living community on Monday morning.

“We are deeply saddened by Dorothy’s passing and feel honored to have been a part of making her world-record skydive a reality.

“Skydiving is an activity that many of us safely tuck away in our bucket lists. But Dorothy reminds us that it’s never too late to take the thrill of a lifetime. We are forever grateful that skydiving was a part of her exciting, well-lived life,” echoed the United States Parachute Association & Skydive Chicago unanimously. Her memorial is expected to be scheduled somewhere around the first week of November.

Dorothy Hoffner shattered all possible expectations, and with her audacious leap created history about a week ago.
