Going by the red-hot form both the riders are in, fans are quite confused as to who holds the advantage in Qatar. In a surprising coincidence, both the riders failed to clinch a victory in the recently concluded Malaysian MotoGP. Instead, it was Enea Bastianini, Bagnaia’s teammate, who took the victory. This performance was a setback for both Bagnaia and Martin. More so for Bagnaia, as he confessed that the slim lead of fourteen points at the top was not enough to see off Martin.

For Bagnaia to secure victory, Saturday’s race will be very much crucial. He must aim to bag at least 12 more points to have a significant advantage over Martin. The 26-year-old also has the chance to put an end to the rivalry on Sunday if he can grab all the 25 points that will be on offer. However, if Martin manages to keep his cool and grab some important points, then the party will move to Valencia for the showdown.

All in all, the tensions were high for the race and fans made sure their opinions were heard.
