McCaskey emphasized his impact on the sport, declaring, “His contributions to the game he loved will live forever and we are grateful he was able to be at our home opener.” With eight Pro Bowl selections, the footballer was undeniably one of the greatest players in NFL history.

Dick’s intensity on the field was always unmatched, earning him a reputation as a ferocious tackler. After retiring from the Bears, he ventured into acting and announcing. Dick was seen sharing the screen with former NFL defensive player Bubba Smith in various television shows and movies. His presence was felt on popular shows like ‘MacGyver’, ‘Hang Time,’ and ‘The NFL Today’ on CBS.
