Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver After Fatal Bicycle Accident in Northwest Miami-Dade

Northwest Miami-Dade saw a heartwrenching moment, as a cyclist fell victim to a car crash on Friday. The community, devastated, is assisting the Miami-Dade police department in the capture of the criminal.

The Miami-Dade Police swiftly responded to calls about the hit and run, which tragically happened on Northwest 75th Street and 27th Avenue. The victim, a black male cyclist, tragically lost his life immediately after the collision.

Miami Dade Police Department Sergeant  Manuel Munoz stated “We have a Black male victim involved in – riding a bicycle,”

Eye-witness accounts indicate that the criminal was driving a burgundy Dodge Ram, and is likely to have substantial damage on the front end. The Police further states that the damage is likely to have been more on the passenger side, particularly on the windshield. They further state that the pickup truck was traveling southbound when this incident occurred.

“It’s probably going to have extensive front-end damage of the passenger side, including windshield,” said Munoz. Naturally, the police and the community are hoping that this description would aid in the search and capture of the criminal, and bring closure to this bereaved family.
