Suave 007 agent Pierce Brosnan is currently facing the heat, not from a cunning villain but from the charges of venturing into off-limits thermal areas.

Jackson Brosnan were caught for allegedly violating park regulations. Pierce Brosnan’s Yellowstone escapade sparks legal drama

Yellowstone’s unique terrain poses both beauty and peril. And for the same reason, the park has set up strict guidelines for the guests, which they must abide by for their safety. The court documents revealed that Brosnan was cited for hiking off-trails and transgressing against the park’s regulations. This happened last November. The document stated the charges against Brosnan as “Foot travel in all thermal areas and w/in Yellowstone Canyon confined to trails … and Violating closures and use limits,” and these have been listed as ‘petty offenses.’

On Tuesday, the 70-year-old star was charged for not abiding by travel restrictions near the thermal feature. His case has been filed in US District Court in Wyoming. The park’s website states that the thermal areas near Yellowstone have “delicate, breakable crusts that can sit atop scalding water, “ forcing the authority to set up strict guidelines that visitors must adhere to. The visitors are also asked to use specially set up boardwalks and specific trails to navigate around the areas in the park.

The Mamma Mia star was with Samuel L. Jackson in the Park filming parts of a Western named “Unholy Trinity.” The 70-year-old is summoned to the federal court in Mammoth Hot Springs in Wyoming next month on January 23 of the new year. This means that he will, in all probability, be serving jailtime. Brosnan’s trespassing act in the Yellowstone National Park might cause the actor to pay a hefty fine upto $5000 along with six months in prison.

Forbidden hot springs chronicles

Hot springs can often turn fatal for visitors, and thus, the park has also laid down preventive measures, as hot springs can cause severe burns. More than 5 visitors were injured by the fatal force of nature in Yellowstone National Park in recent years.

A similar case came to light last June. A guest who was not misguided put her hands in the hot springs’ scorching water. This illegal act was also captured in a video. Last August, another such case forced the authorities to ban a man from the park. He was from Michigan and was allegedly drunk.  He trailed off-limits hot springs.
