Jonathan Romero, a high-spirited school student, created landmarks by joining the San Francisco 49ers‘ cheerleading team. Male cheerleading star creates history 

Although he made a notable stance in NFL cheerleading shows, Romero’s unparalleled contributions went far beyond the cheer mat. Serving as the squad’s social media chair, he was also tasked with creating original content. Subsequently, the cheerleading sensation was made responsible for maintaining consistency and creativity across the San Francisco football team’s digital presence.

However, that was not all, as the young talent showcased diverse merits that drew boundless attention to his impeccable merits. Reportedly, Romero also works as an interior designer at Blair Design and Interiors in Sacramento, depicting another fruitful chapter of his professional journey.

Earning a prestigious degree, the high-spirited lad landed a BFA title in interior architecture, completing the course in 2021. Before that he used to juggle part-time work as a server at Sacramento’s Iron Horse Tavern, exhibiting his true potential and unwavering dedication towards successful hard work.

Additionally, Romero’s social handles disclosed a strong belief in cheerleading and resilience, as he embodied these principles in his career choices.

A glorious tale of breaking gender norms

Evidently, Romero’s path to becoming an NFL cheerleader was not a straightforward one, as he initially auditioned for the Gold Rush as a practice run. Willing to appear for other auditions, the young cheerleading persona was not expecting to secure a spot on the squad.

However, when he decided to send an audition video, the bold move was well anticipated by Romero, who eagerly awaited the outcome. Sharing how the idea was to simply gain professional experience under his belt, the cheerleader stated, “Never in a million years did I think this would happen.”

While dancing holds a special place in his life, Romero views it as a form of self-expression and liberation, especially as a man who had to fight against several hurdles. Labeling the act as his happy place, the young cheerleading professional’s love for cheer and dancing initially began at the Sac Dance Lab in Sacramento.
